INTRODUCTION OF CSCEC

 

China State Construction Engg. Corp. Ltd.(‘China Construction’ in short) , formally established on December 10, 2007,was co-initiated by four top-500-global member enterprises: China State Construction Engineering Corp.(CSCEC), China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC),Baosteel group corp.ltd. andSinochem Corporation.

China Construction, inherited all the choice assets and culture of China State Construction Engineering Corp.(CSCEC), makes itself so far the most competitive building enterprise group in China, with a business scope ranging from housing construction, international building contracting to real estate development and investment, infrastructure construction and investment, prospecting and designing etc.

Founded in 1982, CSCEC has been a backbone enterprise directly under the management of the central government. Starting as its core businesses of housing construction, international building contracting, property development, infrastructure construction and municipal survey and design, CSCEC has finally grown up the largest building and real estate enterprise in China, as well as the top international contractor in China. CSCEC is an enterprise expanding itself without mass capital and sources from the government, but only through competition. Up to 2006, CSCEC had won 51 national-level prizes, 617 province-level prizes, 112 Luban prizes which is the highest prize in China’s Building Sector, and 115 participation prizes for Luban-prize projects.

For the year of 2007, “China Construction” is one of the 32 top-500-global enterprises in China, which were selected the world most famous brands; “China Overseas” is one of the blue chips for Hong Kong Hangsheng Index, with a market value of 124.9 billion Hong Kong dollars closing priced on December 31,2007. It is also the largest state-owned public real estate company in Hong Kong in terms of market value, and it has been consecutively appraised as No.1 Real Estate Company in China for three years for its integrated strength, and for many times won the golden medal in China’s real estate sector as a leading brand.

The Party and government leaders attach great importance to“China Construction”. Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jingtao had all inspected projects constructed by CSCEC and also met with its staff. On Feb.6, 2007, when Chairman Hu Jingtao met with CSCEC staff during his visit to the Africa, he said:“you are representing not only your company, but also China.”
